After debuting at No. 1 last week, Rod Stewart’s album The Story So Far: The Very Best Of (CD 2) falls to No. 2 with 444,000, a sales slide of 51%. For older fans The Story So Far: The Very Best Of (CD 2) will put a massive smile accross your face. This is one of the best Cd’s Rod Stewart has dropped to date. Such great and happy songs.
I Don’t Want To Talk About It - Okay, I just talked about depth. Have I Told You Lately That I Love You is the song that really did it for me. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. Album opener You’re In My Heart (The Final Acclaim) is a bright, upbeat ditty. All For Love is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Tonight’s The Night (Gonna Be Alright) is the funkiest number on the album. Every Beat Of My Heart is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Music in Tom Traubert’s Blues (Waltzing Matilda) is excellent as in all tracks of The Story So Far: The Very Best Of (CD 2). Don’t Come Around Here is one of the coolest songs Rod Stewart has ever recorded. Killing Of Georgie, Pts. 1 and 2 gets you up and jumping. Love Touch - To me, this is the best song on the The Story So Far: The Very Best Of (CD 2). Listening to I Was Only Joking you can hear that Rod Stewart has still amazing chemistry with band members. The Story So Far: The Very Best Of (CD 2) couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Ruby Tuesday. In In A Broken Dream full palet of sound is used by Rod Stewart to accentuate the presentation. Reason To Believe is one of these floating songs. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: In My Life, which shows, blatantly, how much Rod Stewart has evolved as a singer.
