I am not a real Pop music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Early Years’ really is amazing. Early Years isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Rod Stewart on ‘Come Home Baby’. Early Years is the best essence of Rod Stewart.
Get Early Years and turn on Bright Lights, Big City if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Listening to Keep Your Hands Off Her you can hear that Rod Stewart has still amazing chemistry with band members. Don’t You Tell Nobody is Rod Stewart’s best work in years. Shake is beautiful, yet underrated track. In Mopper’s Blues the music gets its power. Can I Get A Witness is really a nice song to relax and listen too. You have to get essence of the Just Like I Treat You’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. I Just Got Some has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. I can’t stop playing The Day Will Come. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Early Years is Ain’t That Loving’ You Baby. Little Miss Understood is a perfect song and it grows on you. Why Does It Go On makes a person feel amazing.
