Allah Allah isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This fifteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Ibrahim Tatlises has. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Ibrahim Tatlises energies, virtually a rebirth. Another great offering from Ibrahim Tatlises.
This song stands out greatly from the others. Mavi Mavi pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Allah Allah is Gulum Benim. What sets Hulya apart is Ibrahim Tatlises’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Yalnizim is a very catchy tune. Benim Hayatim - I just love it. Gulumse Biraz is one of the more up-tempo songs on Allah Allah. Ayaginda Kundura is a cool sing-along. Sarhos presents the gorgeous mix of instruments on Allah Allah. Sevdalandim - another great track from the Allah Allah album. Dom Dom Kursunu is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Ibrahim Tatlises released so far. Sabuha is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Olursem Kabrime Gelme istemem, which shows, blatantly, how much Ibrahim Tatlises has evolved as a singer.
