For older fans Seatbelts / COWBOY BEBOP O.S.T will put a massive smile accross your face. Jim Jones has compared writing for Yoko Kanno’s new album to that on ‘Seatbelts / COWBOY BEBOP O.S.T’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. sixteen years ago, Yoko Kanno briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “PAPA Plastic”. Exciting stuff.
PAPA Plastic is the most memorable and gorgeous. Telephone Shopping is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. kabutogani kodainosakana is a fine track on any terms. No Yoko Kanno song has come close to capturing my attention as Slipper Sleaze did. This is probably my favorite song on the album.
