There is so much to love about Yoko Kanno, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This is the first studio album from Yoko Kanno since bad diagnosis in 2001. Self-described as Soundtrack with lots of words, Yoko Kanno comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Yoko Kanno is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Ask DNA is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Cosmic Dare (Pretty with a pistol) (4:28) a good melody. Within the first few notes of Hamduche it’s perfectly clear that Yoko Kanno is living this song. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Ask DNA Cowboy Bebop - Knockin’ on heaven’s door.
