On Lenny album, Lenny Kravitz have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Now signed to Lenny Kravitz’s Columbia Records, the title track from second album “Lenny” leads Lenny Kravitz’s back-to-school campaign. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Lenny Kravitz’s album Lenny falls to No. 2 with 486,000, a sales slide of 54%. This is my first Lenny Kravitz Album and i must say i am blown away.
If I Could Fall In Love has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Simple and heartfelt closing track Yesterday Is Gone (My Dear Kay) closes Lenny on a high note. Stillness Of Heart is the funkiest number on the album. Believe In Me is the more seemingly obscure song on Lenny that bear up best to repeated listening. In Pay To Pay you won’t find any flashy solos. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. After few listenings I started to like God Save Us All more and more. Album opener Dig In is a bright, upbeat ditty. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Bank Robber Man is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. One listen to the sheer beauty of Let’s Get High was all I needed.
