Jim Jones has compared writing for Finger Eleven’s new album to that on ‘Greyest of Blue Skies’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Finger Eleven energies, virtually a rebirth. This twelve-song debut EP shows the promise that Finger Eleven has. This is what good Rock should be.
Drag You Down - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Finger Eleven. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. I can’t stop playing Sick Of It All. In For The Ocean Finger Eleven spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Broken Words is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Suffocate is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Bones + Joints one is one of the better boring ones. Simple and heartfelt closing track Famous closes Greyest of Blue Skies on a high note. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it.
