Palais Des Congres 2000 (CD1) isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Self-described as Pop with lots of words, Charles Aznavour comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. While no new Charles Aznavour album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2000 tour in Australia. I wish that “Palais Des Congres 2000 (CD1)” album was instrumental.
Charles Aznavour emotions are reflected through Quand Tu M’aimes. This song may be the most meaningful. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Dans Tes Bras is outstanding work of Charles Aznavour. Que C’est Triste Venise gets you up and jumping. Within the first few notes of Et Pourtant it’s perfectly clear that Charles Aznavour is living this song. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Palais Des Congres 2000 (CD1). It’s such an underrated song. A great put together song. The song feels complete. Trousse Chemise is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. Et Moi Dans Mon Coin is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Les Deux Guitares is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Mon Emouvant Amour is such a amazing and optimistic song that things can get just better. Je M’voyais Deja is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song.
