Morning Wood isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This disc has all of the essential Rodney Carrington classics. Rodney Carrington had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Exciting stuff.
This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. I came to like Great To Be A Man. More Of A Man is the cool blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. A Dozen Roses gives good insight into the truths. Rodney Carrington is hitting on all cylinders in Carlos. I like to sing along with Gay Factory Worker, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. What sets In Her Day apart is Rodney Carrington’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. More Of A Man great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.|titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. I believe Play Your Cards Wrong is one of the most gorgeous, heartfelt songs ever written. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Rodney’s Wife & Kids, Marriage, Vacations had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Some call Fat Girls, Nebraska Farmers, Japanese Restaurants from Morning Wood as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen.
