Blackstreet was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Blackstreet and No Diggity: The Very Best Of together. Since completing 2003’s ‘Baby Be Mine’, Blackstreet fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Blackstreet on ‘Baby Be Mine’. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
It took me a little time but I ended up loving Booti Call. Before I Let You Go is the song that really did it for me. Joy [New Carnagie Mix] is one of these floating songs. Falling In Love Again - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Blackstreet. Tonight’s The Night is really a nice song to relax and listen too. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Billie Jean gives good insight into the truths. Never Gonna Let You Go is a very catchy tune. Don’t Leave Me is the albums biggest surprise. I Can’t Get You (Out Of My Mind) (4:51) a good melody. Fix [Main Mix] is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. One listen to the sheer beauty of Coming Home To You was all I needed. In Get Me Home it becomes nowhere more obvious that Blackstreet has yet to define own style. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Girlfriend/Boyfriend. Lord Is Real (Time Will Reveal) is another favourite of mine.
