Roger Waters was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Roger Waters and In The Flesh - Live (CD 1) together. This thirteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Roger Waters has. sixteen years ago, Roger Waters briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “The Happiest Days Of Our Lives”. In The Flesh - Live (CD 1) constantly brilliant.
The Happiest Days Of Our Lives is astounding. It’s such an underrated song. Mother is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Music and lyrics of Get Your Filthy Hands Off My Desert creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. The sound of Southampton Dock is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Roger Waters is one of artists that allow his songs like Pigs On The Wing, Part 1 to stand on their own and be heard. Dogs has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Roger Waters’s strong vocals come to the fore. Welcome To The Machine is a bit different from Roger Waters stereotypical stuff. Wish You Were Here is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Set The Controls Of The Heart Of The Sun - My least favorite song on this album.
