It has been three years Bobby McFerrin’ last studio CD, “Beyond Words” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Bobby McFerrin has. While no new Bobby McFerrin album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2002 tour in North America. This album is a scorcher!
Best song on the album, love it. When I listen to A Silken Road in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Fertile Field is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. I like Dervishes because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Ziggurat is the albums biggest surprise. Bobby McFerrin has astounded me with this amazing track. Circlings is a fine track on any terms. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Chanson from the beginning to the end. Bobby McFerrin is one of artists that allow his songs like Windows to stand on their own and be heard. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Mass - A nice song. First time I heard Pat and Joe was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Taylor Made - I just love it. I hope to keep hearing Bobby McFerrin works for a long time to come. Monks - The Shepherd is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit.
