Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Edwyn Collins on ‘Calling on You’. ‘Doctor Syntax’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. It has been one years Edwyn Collins’ last studio CD, “Doctor Syntax” which won Array Academy Awards� and was nominated for album of the year. Calling on You and It’s a Funny Thing is really good.
It’s a Funny Thing (4:23) - awsome. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Johnny Teardrop on Doctor Syntax is solid and easy to listen to. Splitting Up - I like this one. Back to the Back Room is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Beatles actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Edwyn Collins’s face. No Idea is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. In Mine Is At full palet of sound is used by Edwyn Collins to accentuate the presentation. What sets Should’ve Done That apart is Edwyn Collins’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. When listening to Never Felt Like This, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable.
