While no new Vicente Fernandez album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2000 tour in Europe. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Vicente Fernandez energies, virtually a rebirth. There is no doubt that Vicente Fernandez has talent. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Vicente Fernandez ever.
I like the agression and power of Aunque Mal Paguen Ellas. El Hijo Del Pueblo is possibly the best song Vicente Fernandez has come up. Hermoso Carino - To me, this is the best song on the La Historia de un Idolo, Vol. 1. Ho Platique Con Mi Gallo as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. La Diferencia is one of the best records ever. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Las Llaves De Mi Alma. Lastima Que Seas Ajena is a striking and quite long song. Me Voy A Quitar De En Medio is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. This song stands out greatly from the others. Vicente Fernandez sings Mujeres Divinas in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Ni En Defensa Propia. Only one song from La Historia de un Idolo, Vol. 1 named Nos Estorbo La Ropa really got me. Palabra De Rey - Vicente Fernandez first major hit. Por Tu Maldito Amor defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. I listened to the opening track Que De Raro Tiene and liked it a lot.
