On the Holland charts, superstar Helene Segara’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This disc has all of the essential Helene Segara classics. It has been six years Helene Segara’ last studio CD, “En concert E L’Olympia (cd2)” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. En concert E L’Olympia (cd2) is not something you should pass up.
Vivre which is my favorite is a truly Helene Segara sounding song. Helene Segara offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. In Para una mujer (au nom d’une femme) Helene Segara spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Espera la lluvia (Il attend la pluie) defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Il y a trop de gens qui t’aiment (avec le public) is my favorite song on En concert E L’Olympia (cd2). Ave Maria Palen is a exquisite sing-along. Presentation des misuciens sets the tone for the entire album. This song stands out greatly from the others. After few listenings I started to like Au nom d’une femme more and more. Yo lo siento por mi (Il y a trop de gens qui t’aiment) - Okay, I just talked about depth. Habla por favor (Parlez moi de nous) is a very catchy tune.
