ten years ago, Baby Bash briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Pollution”. Baby Bash’s debut, ‘Tha Smokin’ Nephew’, does not fit easily into one genre. This is the first studio album from Baby Bash since bad diagnosis in 2003. Such great and happy songs.
Pollution has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. I’ve found myself listening to Stay Perkin’ back to back and back many times. Baby Bash emotions are reflected through Don’t Disrespect My Mind. Tha Chop I just LOVE this mix! Feeling Me - I just love it. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Image Of Pimp to me is the best you can get from Baby Bash. Baby Bash allows each song to breathe and flourish. Musically On Tha Curb is superior to other tracks in Tha Smokin’ Nephew. Shorty Doowop is a strong cut, one of many. One listen to the sheer beauty of Weed Hand was all I needed. What sets Suga Suga apart is Baby Bash’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. The first time I listened to Yeh Suh! I was struck by its marvelous sound. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Oh Wow is the song that really did it for me. Menage A Trois is the first taste of the new album.
