Arabesque carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Jane Birkin. Jane Birkin was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Jane Birkin and Arabesque together. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
Anno ‘Close To The River’ is a song to enjoy for years to come. I like Baby Alone In Babylone because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. Some call Comment Te Dire Adieu from Arabesque as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Couleur Cafe sets the tone for the entire album. A fantastic track full of wonder. Elisa is one of these floating songs. Although Et Quand Bien Meme is very melodic it is far from sad. Fuir Le Bonheur is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Haine Pour Aime actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Jane Birkin’s face. I like to sing along with L’amour De Moi, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Such hits like La Javanaisie will leave you hooked. Les Cles Du Paradis is the albums biggest surprise. Les Dessous Chics is probably the highlight of the album. She Left Home (Instrumental) - A catchy, upbeat tune. Valse De Melody has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album.
