Now signed to Asha Bhosle’s EMI Records, the title track from second album “The Rough Guide to Asha Bhosle” leads Asha Bhosle’s back-to-school campaign. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Asha Bhosle’s album The Rough Guide to Asha Bhosle falls to No. 2 with 907,000, a sales slide of 99%. On the Bulgaria charts, superstar Asha Bhosle’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. This is my first Asha Bhosle Album and i must say i am blown away.
This is probably my favorite song on the album. Rishte Bante Hain is the more seemingly obscure song on The Rough Guide to Asha Bhosle that bear up best to repeated listening. I’ve found myself listening to Dil Cheez Kya Hai back to back and back many times. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. I like to sing along with Mera Kuchh Saaman, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. The sound of Kali Ghata Chhaye is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Dukhbhare Din great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool. All of songs on The Rough Guide to Asha Bhosle and have something to say letting alone Mera Naam Hai Shabnam. Jaane Kya Haal Ho Kai I just LOVE this mix! Sapna Mera Toot Gaya one of the best in my collection. I believe Karle Pyar Karle is one of the most amazing, heartfelt songs ever written. This track is full of harmonies and gets The Rough Guide to Asha Bhosle off to a relaxing start. I hope to keep hearing Asha Bhosle works for a long time to come. Rang De is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Main Soya Aankhiyan Meeche is my favorite song on The Rough Guide to Asha Bhosle.
