Since completing 2000’s ‘Chasing Time’, Millenium fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. While no new Millenium album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2000 tour in South America. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Millenium energies, virtually a rebirth. Exciting stuff.
Masquerade is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. I Still Believe is the song that really did it for me. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Music of Rocket Ride is gentle, never overbearing. Superstar is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Hourglass. No More Miracles - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. I’ve found myself listening to Hourglass back to back and back many times. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Power To Love is probably the most interesting track on Hourglass.
