Immortal Technique was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Immortal Technique and Revolutionary Vol.1 together. nine years ago, Immortal Technique briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Dominant Species”. There is so much to love about Immortal Technique, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This is one of Immortal Technique best albums
Dominant Species marked the continuation of Immortal Technique in style evolution. Positive Balanc (Feat. Big Zoo) - another great track from the Revolutionary Vol.1 album. The Getaway gives good insight into the truths. Beef and Broccolli good vocals. No Me Importa - Immortal Technique first major hit. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. This track is full of harmonies and gets Revolutionary Vol.1 off to a relaxing start. I find myself hearing bits of Revolutionary here and there throughout my waking hours. After about the third Spend Some Time (Remix) listen through, I began to believe this song is Immortal Technique’s essence. Dance with the Devil - A catchy, upbeat tune. The Prophecy is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Revolutionary Vol.1 have ended. Understand Why - This one makes me want to not only sing along. No Mercy is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done. This track is clearly meant to showcase Immortal Technique’s vocal abilities. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Speak Your Mind is my favorite song on Revolutionary Vol.1.
