Since completing 2003’s ‘5 Stages of Consciousness’, Wu-Tang Clan fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. Now signed to Wu-Tang Clan’s SixSteps records, the title track from second album “Doomsday Bootleg” leads Wu-Tang Clan’s back-to-school campaign. Doomsday Bootleg carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Doomsday Bootleg is the best essence of Wu-Tang Clan.
9th Chamber - I like this one. Allah Sees Everything makes a person feel cool. And Justice for All is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Wu-Tang Clan ever produced. This is probably my favorite song on the album. This song stands out greatly from the others. Doomsday is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Doomsday Bootleg have ended. After you’ve listened to Feel it, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Generation Next is pretty funky and mellow. Some call La Rumba from Doomsday Bootleg as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Last Poet is beautiful, yet underrated track. Once Soul in the Hole gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Music in Street Monopoly is astounding as in all tracks of Doomsday Bootleg. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Music and lyrics of The Shoot Out creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Thirsty - A strong beat. Universal Soldiers - Wu-Tang Clan first major hit. Wu-Tang Clan has astounded me with this amazing track. Wu-Renegades marked the continuation of Wu-Tang Clan in style evolution. Young Godz - arguably the best track on Doomsday Bootleg album.
