Live In A Dive isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Self-described as Rock: Punk-Rock with lots of words, Strung Out comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. Since completing 2003’s ‘too close to see’, Strung Out fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. Strung Out is one of my favourite bands of all time.
monster is the cool blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Live In A Dive. the kids is another strong production from Strung Out. everyday gives taste of what makes Strung Out special as a musician. population control is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. velvet alley is probably one of Strung Out’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. bring out your dead is probably the highlight of the album. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. klawsterfobia is nothing but pure genius. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Strung Out. razor sex - a classic song. support your troops I just LOVE this mix! barfly was the first single release from the album Live In A Dive. Strung Out breathes new life into the music in savant. exumation of virginia madison on Live In A Dive is solid and easy to listen to. I like in harm’s way because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. don’t look back rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. cult of the subterranean (3:57) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. I like the agression and power of bark at the moon. matchbook is new, fresh, and hypnotizing.
