five years ago, Mr. Big briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Wake Up”. This fourteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Mr. Big has. Actual Size carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. One of Mr. Big’s best albums yet.
Wake Up is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Shine - arguably the best track on Actual Size album. Overall a nice softer song. Mary Goes ’round rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Suffocation is probably one of Mr. Big’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. One World Away is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Some call Crawl Over Me from Actual Size as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Actual Size. How Did I Give Myself Away is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. This track is clearly meant to showcase Mr. Big’s vocal abilities. Deep Dark Decret (Bonus Track) - Well, here we get a bit more meaning.
