Stanley Donwood has compared writing for Freestylers’s new album to that on ‘[2004] Pressure Drop’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. [2004] Pressure Drop isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Freestylers was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Freestylers and [2004] Pressure Drop together. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
London Sound (feat. Tenor Fly) I just LOVE this mix! Told You So (feat. Petra) gives good insight into the truths. Bass Odyssey has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Freestylers’s strong vocals come to the fore. I can’t stop humming along Blowin Ta Brainz. Broadcast Channels (feat. The Cardinal) motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Calling (feat. Valerie M) is one of the coolest songs Freestylers has ever recorded. In Don’t Stop you won’t find any flashy solos. Music of Get Down Massive (feat. Navigator) is gentle, never overbearing. Now Is The Time is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Phenomenon One (feat. Tenor Fly) is a bit different from Freestylers stereotypical stuff. Weekend Song (feat. Tenor Fly) marked the continuation of Freestylers in style evolution.
