Mercuric carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. While no new Element Eighty album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2001 tour in South America. ‘Mercuric’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This is one of the best cd’s i have heard through the whole thing.
Lyrics of The Same are precise and evocative. This track is a great song that still never gets old. I loved R and M the first time I heard it. Frustrated is a exquisite song and it grows on you. Element Eighty rocks harder than ever with Yankee Cake. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Voice and instruments in Ego complement each other. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Mercuric. Flatline good vocals. Bloodshot - To me, this is the best song on the Mercuric.
