After seeing Petrified, I had to have a good Pentagram cd. Pentagram’s debut, ‘Turn To Stone’, does not fit easily into one genre. IF YOU LIKE ALL Pentagram’S SONG GO FOR IT! This album is in perfect progression from Pentagram!
Wartime is one of the best records ever. Pentagram must have run out of lyrics on the next track All Your Sins. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Burning Saviour is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Sinister is the more seemingly obscure song on Turn To Stone that bear up best to repeated listening. Bride Of Evil is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. When The Screams Come is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. In Relentless Pentagram spins a tale you want to hear to the end. Vampire Love - My least favorite song on this album. Evil Seed is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. The Ghoul is a song to enjoy for years to come. In Wolf’s Blood Pentagram is at his best. I like to sing along with Madman, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. 20 Buck Spin is a fine track on any terms. A unique and uplifting song. The first time I listened to Live Free and Burn I was struck by its exquisite sound.
