There is no doubt that Antony and the Johnsons has talent. Lead single “Twilight” and “Cripple And The Starfish” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. I am not a real ROck: Alternative music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Antony and the Johnsons’ really is amazing. I Love Antony and the Johnsons from start to finish!
The first time I listened to Cripple And The Starfish I was struck by its excellent sound. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. The Atrocities is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Antony and the Johnsons is hitting on all cylinders in River Of Sorrow. Rapture on Antony and the Johnsons is solid and easy to listen to. I can’t stop humming along Deeper Then Love. Divine pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Blue Angel is a very catchy tune.
