There is no doubt that Various Artists has talent. Lead single “Star Spangled Banner (Blues Traveler)” and “Slow Change (Blues Traveler)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Now signed to Various Artists’s Columbia Records, the title track from second album “What You and I Have Been Through-ADVANCE” leads Various Artists’s back-to-school campaign. Various Artists “What You and I Have Been Through-ADVANCE” is an amazing album.
This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Reach Me (Blues Traveler) is a very catchy tune. Various Artists sings Sadly A Fiction (Blues Traveler) in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Pattern (Blues Traveler) is the albums biggest surprise. Back In The Day (Blues Traveler) - This one is lively and fun. Rage (Blues Traveler, Carl Young) is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Lost Me There (Blues Traveler) - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Still going through What You and I Have Been Through-ADVANCE and coming to appreciate All Hands (Blues Traveler) more and more with every listen. The Path (Blues Traveler, Radioactive) (8:25) - Oh, this is one of my favorites!
