It has been four years Various Artists’ last studio CD, “Remixes” which won Array Academy Awards� and was nominated for album of the year. There were many famous songs of Various Artists available. Lead single “Des Satans Neue Kleider (Aghast View Mix) (Das Ich)” and “Relic (Aghast View Intense Remix) (Decoded Feedback)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. IF you love Various Artists, ‘Remixes’ Mp3’s is the best!
The sound in Relic (Aghast View Intense Remix) (Decoded Feedback) is really warm and Various Artists’s signature voice is still very much present. The Plague (Club Mix By Aghast View) (Flesh Field) is the more seemingly obscure song on Remixes that bear up best to repeated listening. Within the first few notes of Headhunter (Aghast View Remix) (Front 242) it’s perfectly clear that Various Artists is living this song. Excellent vocals and musical performances. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Lyrics of Liquid Transmission (Aghast View Mix) (Negative Format) are precise and evocative. I can’t stop playing Deadmaker (Aghast View Mix) (Wumpscut). Default (Aghast View Mix) (Wumpscut) is perfect.
