This sixteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Various Artists has. This is the first studio album from Various Artists since bad diagnosis in 2002. ‘One Love’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
Riders (Blue) is a bit of a show-tune. Flexin’ (Blue) - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word (Blue, Elton John) is the song that really did it for me. She Told Me (Blue) is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. This song may be the most meaningful. Music in U Make Me Wanna (Blue) is amazing as in all tracks of One Love. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Supersexual (Blue) is a good listen every once in a while. Don’t Treat Me Like A Fool (Blue) is pretty funky and mellow. In Get Down (Blue) the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. All of songs on One Love and have something to say letting alone Privacy (Blue). This track is a great song that still never gets old. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Like A Friend (Blue) is my favorite song on One Love.
