It’s natural for Taj Mahal to take a stab at ‘Ain’t That A Lot Of Love’ considering her long-professed love for Babylon Zoo. I am not a real Blues music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Shoutin’ In Key’ really is amazing. Taj Mahal was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Taj Mahal and Shoutin’ In Key together. This is what good Blues should be.
Best song on the album, love it. Music of Cruisin’ is gentle, never overbearing. Charming song, great melody. Taj Mahal has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. From the moment you listen to Honkey Tonk you’re hooked. Leavin’ Trunk is pretty funky and mellow. Mail Box Blues is simply amazing. Rain From The Sky is such a exquisite and optimistic song that things can get just better. Vocals of Taj Mahal in Sentidos Dulce really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Stranger In My Own Home Town marked the continuation of Taj Mahal in style evolution. The Hoochi Coochi Coo is the song that really did it for me. Woulda Coulda Shoulda - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem.
