This disc has all of the essential Screeching Weasel classics. I am not a real Rock: Punk-Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Thank You Very Little Cd1′ really is amazing. While no new Screeching Weasel album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2000 tour in South America. Enjoy the show.
Nothing Matters - My least favorite song on this album. I like to sing along with Crawl, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Someday is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. I Need Therapy is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Slogans. From the moment you listen to I Wanna Be A Homosexual you’re hooked. Charming song, great melody. Jeanies Got A Problem With He makes a person feel exquisite. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. This song stands out greatly from the others. After few listenings I started to like 27 Things I Wanna Do To You more and more. You can find feelings on this piece of art. I like the idea behind Totally. Lyrics of Nightbreed are precise and evocative. Suzanne Is Getting Married catches attention immediately, In Waiting For Susie Screeching Weasel is at his best. Music of Lose The Dink is gentle, never overbearing. Stuck Out Here - I like this one. Suspect Device is beautiful, yet underrated track. Simple and heartfelt closing track Fuck You closes Thank You Very Little Cd1 on a high note. Only one song from Thank You Very Little Cd1 named The Prisoner really got me. Cant Take It presents the excellent mix of instruments on Thank You Very Little Cd1. When listening to My Own World, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Tightrope - I just love it. Dirt is excellent and different song. So much energy, so exciting a sound. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Thank You Very Little Cd1.
