For older fans Vol 1- Le Theatre Du Vampire will put a massive smile accross your face. It has been seven years Notre Dame’ last studio CD, “Vol 1- Le Theatre Du Vampire” which won Array Academy Awards� and was nominated for album of the year. Vol 1- Le Theatre Du Vampire isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. If I may, I suggest “Le Theatre Du Vampire”. That one song is amazing!
After you’ve listened to Bouffoon Bloody Bouffoon, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Vlad The Impaler is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. I Bring Nosferatu is the albums biggest surprise. A Sleighride … is a fine track on any terms. Dusk - I like this one. This track is full of harmonies and gets Vol 1- Le Theatre Du Vampire off to a relaxing start. A unique and uplifting song. Vocals of Notre Dame in Black Birthday really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. Sisterhood is the funkiest number on the album. Spiderella’s Xxx is maybe the best thing the group’s ever done.
