While no new Los Tucanes de Tijuana album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2001 tour in Australia. Los Tucanes de Tijuana was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Los Tucanes de Tijuana and 32 Corridos Lideres: Solamente Exitos (cd2) together. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Los Tucanes de Tijuana energies, virtually a rebirth. If I may, I suggest “La Pitata”. That one song is amazing!
La Ley - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. You have to get essence of the El Manos Verdes’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. El Doctor Del Pueblo one is one of the better boring ones. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on 32 Corridos Lideres: Solamente Exitos (cd2) is El Cartel De A Kilo. La Clave Nueva is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Carrera Prohibida which is my favorite is a truly Los Tucanes de Tijuana sounding song. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. When I listen to Operacion Pesada in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. I think Los Compas De Almoloya is the best song Los Tucanes de Tijuana has ever done. All of songs on 32 Corridos Lideres: Solamente Exitos (cd2) and have something to say letting alone Los Compadres. I like the idea behind La Recompensa. Once La Mesa Servida gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Musically El Primo is superior to other tracks in 32 Corridos Lideres: Solamente Exitos (cd2). El Guero Palma - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love.
