Lead single “Alo Alo Marciano” and “O Bebado e o Equilibrista” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is what good Latin should be.
Only one song from Sucessos inesqueciveis (cd5) named O Bebado e o Equilibrista really got me. All of songs on Sucessos inesqueciveis (cd5) and have something to say letting alone Como Nossos Pais. I like the agression and power of Ponta de Areia. Elis Regina has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Querelas do Brasil (ao vivo) one of the best in my collection. Elis Regina offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Velha Roupa Colorida - arguably the best track on Sucessos inesqueciveis (cd5) album. Aguas de Marco - Okay, I just talked about depth. I hope to keep hearing Elis Regina works for a long time to come. O que Foi Feito Devera (de Vera) to me is the best you can get from Elis Regina. Some of the arrangements found on Sucessos inesqueciveis (cd5) are surprisingly edgy. Aquele Abraco (ao vivo) have really caught my ear and imagination. This song may be the most meaningful.
