Self-described as Latin with lots of words, Elis Regina comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. There is no doubt that Elis Regina has talent. Since completing 2002’s ‘Can Do Sal’, Elis Regina fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is my first Elis Regina Album and i must say i am blown away.
Caxang is a very catchy tune. After about the third Preciso Aprender a Ser S listen through, I began to believe this song is Elis Regina’s essence. Romaria is one of my favorite songs by Elis Regina. Casa No Campo is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Nada Seromo Antes very upbeat. Como Nossos Pais is outstanding work of Elis Regina. Golden Slumbers without a doubt is the standout song of Gold. Within the first few notes of Cais it’s perfectly clear that Elis Regina is living this song. Carinhoso is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Gold. Black Is Beautiful has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Once Tatuagem gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Vou Deitar E Rolar (Quaquaraquaqua) (3:27) - awsome.
