Lead single “The Pure” and “Whirlpool” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of California Sunshine energies, virtually a rebirth. For older fans Sinking Sand will put a massive smile accross your face. Whirlpool is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Untitled is just simply stunning. Full Power without a doubt is the standout song of Sinking Sand. Music of Secrects Behind The Universe is gentle, never overbearing. Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think Language is my favorite song on Sinking Sand. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. When listening to Ghost Copies, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Utopia is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song.
