Since Autechre last CD (Draft 7.30) on Blue Note Records back in 2003, I have felt a massive void in my life. Autechre was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Autechre and Draft 7.30 together. Now signed to Autechre’s Blue Note Records, the title track from second album “Draft 7.30″ leads Autechre’s back-to-school campaign. I wish that “Draft 7.30″ album was instrumental.
Still going through Draft 7.30 and coming to appreciate IV VV IV VV VIII more and more with every listen. Autechre sings 6ie.CR in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. The first time I listened to Tapr I was struck by its gorgeous sound. Surripere is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Autechre emotions are reflected through VL AL 5. Album opener P.:NTIL is a bright, upbeat ditty. I now have V-Proc as one of my personal favorites. Reniform Puls - a classic song.
