seven years ago, Ugly Duckling briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “If You Wanna Know”. John Digester has compared writing for Ugly Duckling’s new album to that on ‘Journey To Anywhere’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. There were many famous songs of Ugly Duckling available. Ugly Duckling is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Some call If You Wanna Know from Journey To Anywhere as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Some of the arrangements found on Journey To Anywhere are surprisingly edgy. From the moment you listen to I Did It Like This you’re hooked. Blew our minds when we first heard Journey to Anywhere. I love the melodic melody of Friday Night and to this day it makes me feel good. A Little Samba - My least favorite song on this album. Put Eye On The Gold Chain into car stereo for your highway driving Pick Up Lines - another great track from the Journey To Anywhere album. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Oasis - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Dizzy is one of the coolest songs Ugly Duckling has ever recorded. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Lay It On Ya is probably the highlight of the album. Visions (Bonus Track) - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Ugly Duckling.
