five years ago, Samhain briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Falled Crusade”. On Revival album, Samhain have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. There were many famous songs of Samhain available. Revival touched my soul like nothing else.
Falled Crusade is perfect. The Matrix defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. The Monster That Cries is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Luisa’s Black Roses without a doubt is the standout song of Revival. All of songs on Revival and have something to say letting alone The Last Lullaby. Universal Mirror (6:16) - awsome. Illusion Rain is probably the most interesting track on Revival. This is one hell of a track.
