Self-described as Pop: Japan with lots of words, Pizzicato Five comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. After seeing 24 december, I had to have a good Pizzicato Five cd. Thom Yorke has compared writing for Pizzicato Five’s new album to that on ‘24 December Ep (2001)’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. pizzicato five x defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. I believe un carnet de bal is one of the most gorgeous, heartfelt songs ever written.
