It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Pain of Salvation energies, virtually a rebirth. Pain of Salvation’s debut, ‘The Perfect Element (Part I)’, does not fit easily into one genre. Pain of Salvation was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Pain of Salvation and The Perfect Element (Part I) together. Great Metal: Alternative right here!
After few listenings I started to like In The Flesh more and more. Ashes one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Pain of Salvation. Her Voices is the most memorable and gorgeous. Dedication has a fun tempo. The song feels complete. Reconciliation have really caught my ear and imagination. Song For The Innocent actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Pain of Salvation’s face. In Falling full palet of sound is used by Pain of Salvation to accentuate the presentation. Still going through The Perfect Element (Part I) and coming to appreciate The Perfect Element more and more with every listen.
