There is so much to love about Nitin Sawhney, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. ‘Displacing the Priest’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. While no new Nitin Sawhney album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2000 tour in Australia. This is what good Ethnic should be.
In the Mind - arguably the best track on Displacing the Priest album. Herecica Latino is beautiful, yet underrated track. Saudades on Displacing the Priest is solid and easy to listen to. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Bengali Song is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Within the first few notes of Streets it’s perfectly clear that Nitin Sawhney is living this song. Voices is a cool, simple song by Nitin Sawhney at the top of his game. Pieces of Ten - I just love it. All of songs on Displacing the Priest and have something to say letting alone Vidya.
