Lead single “Morning Prayer” and “Beauty Fiend” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. It’s natural for My Ruin to take a stab at ‘Morning Prayer’ considering her long-professed love for Paul Oakenfold. After seeing Morning Prayer, I had to have a good My Ruin cd. My Ruin is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Beauty Fiend is the albums biggest surprise. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. My Ruin allows each song to breathe and flourish. One listen to the sheer beauty of Sanctuary was all I needed. Best song on the album, love it. Hemorrhage is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Letter To The Editor is the song that really did it for me. Let It Rain I just LOVE this mix! I like Post Noise Revelation because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Evening Prayer is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Un-listed Bonus Song… is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit.
