This fourteen-song debut EP shows the promise that MF Doom has. MF Doom was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from MF Doom and Take Me To Your Leader together. While no new MF Doom album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2003 tour in Europe. One of MF Doom’s best albums yet.
Fast Lane is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. A great put together song. I Wonder - a classic song. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Lockjaw - another great track from the Take Me To Your Leader album. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Take Me To Your Leader. Next Levels had me crying as I was able to relate so well. No Snakes to me is the best you can get from MF Doom. One Smart Nigger is really a nice song to relax and listen too. I have all of MF Doom’s tracks and Take Me to Your Leader is probably the most his introspective effort. The Fine Print stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty.
