Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of MF Doom on ‘The Time We Faced DOOM (Skit)’. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by MF Doom. On Operation: Doomsday album, MF Doom have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Doomsday
This track is full of harmonies and gets Operation: Doomsday off to a relaxing start. Rhymes Like Dimes is the perfect blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Voice and instruments in The Finest complement each other. Back In The Days (Skit) make listening to MF Doom like being in some sort of time warp. MF Doom sings his heart out in Go With The Flow. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of MF Doom. Red And Gold is pretty funky and mellow. The Hands Of Doom (Skit) very upbeat. Musically Who You Think I Am? is superior to other tracks in Operation: Doomsday. Doom, Are You Awake? (Skit) gives good insight into the truths. Hey! the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Operation: Greenbacks is simply perfect. The Mic is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. The Mystery Of DOOM (Skit) was the first single release from the album Operation: Doomsday. Dead Bent has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Voice of MF Doom in Gas Drawls is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. Kurious is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing.
