John Digester has compared writing for Madrigal’s new album to that on ‘I Die, You Soar’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Madrigal was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Madrigal and I Die, You Soar together. Since completing 2001’s ‘Same Face’, Madrigal fulfilled their contract with ForeFront Records and where under no obligation to release another album. To me Madrigal is the best band ever.
Languish one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. The sound in Taint Of Shame is really warm and Madrigal’s signature voice is still very much present. Lyrics of Mind In Disguise are precise and evocative. In Debris (4:51) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Once Ashen Eyes gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. This track is clearly meant to showcase Madrigal’s vocal abilities. Musically Moulded Pain is superior to other tracks in I Die, You Soar.
