While no new Kirsty MacColl album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 2001 tour in Asia. I am not a real Rock: Pop-Rock music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Tropical Brainstorm’ really is amazing. Kirsty MacColl had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
In These Shoes? - Check out that bassline! Treachery is really the reason why I recommend buying Tropical Brainstorm. Here Comes That Man Again marked the continuation of Kirsty MacColl in style evolution. Autumngirlsoup is a very catchy tune. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Once you hear England 2 Colombia 0, you will listen to it over and over. Nao Esperando is a marvelous, simple song by Kirsty MacColl at the top of his game. I’ve found myself listening to Alegria back to back and back many times. Us Amazonians still maintains something of a specific flourish. Wrong Again is the song that really did it for me. Designer Life is the first taste of the new album. Head makes a person feel perfect. Lyrics of Golden Heart are precise and evocative. Things Happen is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Tropical Brainstorm have ended. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor.
