After debuting at No. 1 last week, Kemuri’s album Senka-senrui falls to No. 2 with 997,000, a sales slide of 66%. Now signed to Kemuri’s Mute Records, the title track from second album “Senka-senrui” leads Kemuri’s back-to-school campaign. When you buy a Kemuri album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Another great offering from Kemuri.
The opening track Colors is very much like you would expect from other albums. Egotistic and Weak Fragment of Creatio have really caught my ear and imagination. Falling Down is a exquisite sing-along. Fight Vices Inside had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Hoshizora to Heishi (Instrumental) is nothing but pure genius. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Kemuri. Into Sands is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Kirisame one is one of the better boring ones. I was truly moved when I heard Lullaby. In Mangetsu No Yoru Ni Hana Kemuri spins a tale you want to hear to the end. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. One Life, No Regret is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. In Oneday it becomes nowhere more obvious that Kemuri has yet to define own style. Scream for My Dream is another strong production from Kemuri.
