There is no doubt that Grupo Montez De Durango has talent. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Grupo Montez De Durango’s album De Durango a Chicago falls to No. 2 with 618,000, a sales slide of 58%. De Durango a Chicago carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. De Durango a Chicago is preety good and all the songs have a good meaning behind them.
Te Quise Olvidar is a strong cut, one of many. Vengo A Buscarte - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. I have all of Grupo Montez De Durango’s tracks and Ignacio Parra is probably the most his introspective effort. Colonia Hidalgo, Durango Querido without a doubt is the standout song of De Durango a Chicago. Hoy Empieza Mi Tristeza (Version Pop) (Bonus Track) is probably the highlight of the album. El Huerfano is pretty funky and mellow. First time I heard En Otros Tiempos was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Los Dos Hermanos Rivales is simply gorgeous. Grupo Montez De Durango breathes new life into the music in El Hijo Ausente (A Duo Con Hector Montemayor). |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in De Durango a Chicago.
